Let's connect!

Bagnoli, Naples, Italy – April 23rd – 24th, 2026

Meet Marjan at the NICOLE Spring Workshop 2026
Our colleague Marjan will be representing iFLUX at the NICOLE Spring Workshop 2026 in Bagnoli, Italy on April 23rd and 24th. On the 23th she'll be supporting William Leys of Aecom with the poster presentation PFAS flux-based risk assessment in industrial areas with multiple contaminant sources.

NICOLE (Network for Industrially Co-ordinated Sustainable Land Management in Europe) brings together leading professionals in contaminated land management, site remediation, and industrial transformation. This edition centres on the theme: Strategic revitalisation of megasites: innovative soil reuse and adaptive land transformation: exploring how end-use objectives, data-driven decision making, technological innovation, and emerging soil policy frameworks can be more effectively integrated to support risk-based, sustainable site transformation.

Why this event matters

Megasites - large, historically contaminated industrial areas - represent one of Europe's most complex environmental and urban challenges. Bagnoli itself is a striking example: the former Italsider steelworks left behind decades of contamination in the heart of Naples, and its transformation has become a benchmark case for policy makers and practitioners across the continent. As pressure mounts to unlock land for housing, green infrastructure, and circular industry, the need for smarter, data-driven approaches to site remediation has never been more urgent.

NICOLE provides the platform where science, policy, and practice converge: making it the ideal forum for advancing the next generation of tools and strategies for sustainable land management.

Discover the Future of Groundwater & Site Monitoring

Our colleague Marjan will be speaking at the event on behalf of iFLUX.  At the workshop, she will be sharing how iFLUX is advancing the field with:

  • Real-time Sensing Solutions: Moving beyond static measurements to dynamic, digital groundwater and contaminant monitoring.
  • Patented Flux Samplers: Providing accurate data on contaminant mass flux to optimise remediation strategies and reduce costs.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Helping site managers, utilities, and industrial players make informed, sustainable decisions at every stage of site transformation.

Are you attending the NICOLE Spring Workshop 2026? We'd love to connect! Reach out to Marjan (Marjan@iFLUX.be) in advance to schedule a conversation on the sidelines of the event.
