As climate change and pollution increasingly threaten our limited freshwater resources, protecting groundwater has never been more urgent. With around half of our drinking water coming from groundwater, iFLUX helps enable its sustainable management through innovative, service-oriented solutions.
To support our growth, we are looking for a German speaking Business Development Manager who actively explores the DACH region, positions our service-oriented solutions commercially, and helps build a healthy growth strategy for the future.

How does your role look at?
From day one, you are able to hit the ground running — leveraging existing relationships and market insight to advise on the right go-to-market approach. You know how to open doors in Germany and can translate that knowledge into a clear commercial strategy.
You proactively identify where iFLUX can create value, approach the right stakeholders, and translate technical challenges into commercial opportunities. You don't wait for leads — you create them. You take ownership of the process and remain a trusted partner to clients throughout.

- Drive outbound prospecting and lead generation in targeted sectors and regions
- Identify, approach, and qualify new prospects through research, outreach, networking, and industry events
- Build and maintain a structured pipeline of high-quality opportunities
- Understand client challenges deeply and translate them into tailored, solution-oriented proposals — always built from modular building blocks, customised to the client's specific context and needs, and ranging from €10K engagements to complex, multi-phase contracts in the €100K–€1M+ range
- Own the full commercial cycle: from initial scoping and proposal writing to negotiation and contract close
The markets you'll work in
You will focus on sectors where groundwater monitoring creates measurable operational or regulatory value. An existing network and hands-on experience in one or more of the following is a strong asset:
- Drinking water production
- Soil & groundwater remediation
- Industrial site management
- Smart cities & nature-based solutions
What do you bring?
Experience & Skills
- At least 8 years of experience in B2B business development or sales, with a strong focus on new business
- Proven ability to build a pipeline through proactive outreach and networking
- Experience managing a sales funnel from lead generation to closing
- Strong communication skills: able to engage both technical experts and decision-makers
Technical Background
- A background in groundwater, soil remediation, or environmental consulting is essential
- You understand the challenges faced by our clients and can speak their language
- Preferably a background as a (hydro)geologist or similar
- Experience with CSRD or environmental reporting is a plus
Languages
- Professional speaking and writing skills in German and English (level C1) .
- Knowledge of other languages, like French or Dutch, is a plus.
