Finance Manager

Job Brief

Responsibilities

Strategic tasks  

• Develop annual budget and long-term objectives  

• Financial scenario development and sensitivity analysis  

• Preparing presentations for the Executive Board   

• Ad hoc analyses for management: pricing, cost savings, new business models or market opportunities, ...  

• Maintaining and developing relationships with financial partners such as banks, accountants, specialists (consultants), auditors, ...  

• Managing payroll management and payroll administration  

Administration and accounting (in cooperation with an accounting firm):  

• Ensure correct entry and payment of incoming/outgoing invoices  

• Accounting monthly and year-end closures (including provisions, inventory management, depreciation, R&D activations, payments, salaries)  

• Oversee internal and external audits and ensure compliance  

• Proactive financial/administrative management of grant programmes and support programmes (EIC, VLAIO, FIT and BELSPO)  

• Meet reporting obligations to shareholders (monthly/quarterly), including Impact reporting, revenue and sales forecasting, and sales pipeline analysis  

Reporting & Analysis:  

• Prepare financial reports that take our business operations to the next level   

• Ensuring optimal cash flow management (direct and indirect)  

• Budgeting and forecasting to drive strategic growth  

• Setting up smart reports that provide insight into our performance

Skills & Requirements

• Master or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accountancy or similar field  

• At least 5 years of relevant work experience in a finance role  

• Someone who is tech-savvy and ideally has experience with accounting software  

• Knowledge of IC and VAT regulations  

• A passion for sustainability and water management  

• Curiosity, drive and the ambition to continuously improve
