Job Brief

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Full Stack Engineer to join our team and take charge of building our groundwater monitoring solution with a strong focus on the quality of the end-to-end product. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ingesting and transforming raw data into meaningful visual representations, enabling stakeholders to comprehend complex information and make informed decisions. Your passion to deliver a high-quality solutions, explore relevant new technologies and bring new ideas will allow us to deliver exceptional user experiences to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain web applications using Ruby on Rails, ensuring high quality and functionality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging across the full stack to ensure optimal performance.
  • Design robust data models, ensuring data integrity and accuracy, and support user needs.
  • Create intuitive visualizations and dashboards for stakeholder feedback.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, participate in code reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills & Requirements

  • Degree in computer science or related field: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field is required.
  • Experience in cross-functional team settings: Proven track record of at least 3 years working as a software engineer in cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks: Strong command of a modern programming language, preferably Ruby, or related web development languages and frameworks like Django or PHP Laravel.
  • Intrinsic motivation for excellence: Demonstrated drive to excel as a Software Engineer regardless of the specific language or framework used.
  • Strong problem-solving skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities and adeptness in working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Database expertise: Experience working with both SQL and non-SQL (InfluxDB) storage solutions.
  • Familiarity with software engineering tools: Proficient in using essential software engineering tools such as git, CI/CD, and automated testing.
  • Data visualization skills: Proficiency in designing and implementing interactive dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms is advantageous.
  • Bonus skills: Experience with machine learning techniques and frameworks for data analysis and predictive modeling is considered a plus.
